Exhibition Description:
A visual study of 30 singers and musicians from the past several decades immersed in their art.
When I paint these portraits I can hear their music in my thoughts and see their emotions in their faces. I hope the viewers can take some of that feeling with them.
About the Artist:
Rhea Northington
I had been a painter for nearly 30 years at this point, but was currently focused on portraiture. Sitting in the yard on that warm sunny summer afternoon I realized that waiting in the free pile was a stack of shiny black plastic canvases that held a lifetime worth of inspiration for portraits.
