Article One of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and human rights.”
This affirmation has informed the Strategic Plan, Mission, and Values of the Paramount Center for the Arts. Our goal is to present inclusive arts experiences that inspire cultural curiosity. Our values include ensuring access for all, encouraging diverse participation, representing all backgrounds in our programming, and insisting on respect for the views, ideas, and the opinions of everyone.
Out of these basic tenets, we speak with one voice in saying, Black lives matter.
We acknowledge our past mistakes and failings. We are committed to the hard work of listening, learning, and educating ourselves in order to grow in understanding and serve all people of color through the arts. Together, our community is stronger.
At every opportunity, we will use our voice to call for an end to racism and injustice.
