About the Exhibition

“Feet in the Grass is a collection of photographs that explore the human connection and relationship to nature. This series of photographs draw from my personal experiences over the past eight years as I explored my relationship to the landscapes around me. Over the years I have found that being in nature helps me process and understand my own emotions and tackle all that is going on in the day to day. To be in an environment that triggers my senses, a place where I can feel the earth beneath my feet, hear the birds chirping in the trees, and smell the plants as they blossom, it brings everything into focus, makes it loud and clear, and then unravels it. The photographs in this exhibition captured a moment of my connection with nature and when you look at the images, I encourage you to ask yourself; What do I see? How does it make me feel? How do I connect with the scene?
Beyond the exhibition and this exploration of the human connection to nature, I challenge you to seek what the environment means to you. The next time you are in nature take a moment, flip off your shoes, put your feet in the grass, and experience the landscape around you.”
