Exhibition Description: Artist Statement
I photograph because there aren’t words for what I see.
Exhibiting Artist: Tomas Alvarez
I’m Tomas Alvarez from Woodbury, Minnesota. My photography is my sanity – an escape from the daily grind. When I’m not working as a Software Engineer, or with family, you’ll find me – camera in hand, somewhere between Michigan’s UP and the Black Hills of South Dakota. Listening to the waves of Lake Superior, watching leaves fall on a trail in deep Autumn, and witnessing the dawn of a new day are just a few of nature’s gifts that keep me on my photographic journey.
I also work on several side projects besides my own publications and artistic work. I greatly enjoy working on projects that create opportunities for other artists. Some of those projects are below:

- Minnesota Exposure
