Announcing the Paramount’s New Executive Director

The Paramount Center for the Arts (St. Cloud, MN) announces the appointment of Gretchen Boulka as its new Executive Director. Following a rigorous national search and interview process, the Paramount Board of Directors recognizes Gretchen’s expertise and passion, and her skills will undoubtedly contribute to the continued advancement of the historic organization’s mission. Gretchen begins her tenure on September 1, 2023 following the departure of current Executive Director, Bob Johnson. 

“We are thrilled to have Gretchen as our next Executive Director,” said Hanna Lord, Paramount Board Chair. “Gretchen is the ideal individual to launch the PCA into its next stage of growth.” 

Gretchen Boulka has served as the Director of Performing Arts at the Paramount Center for the Arts since 2017. With a 25-year background in arts administration, she has held various roles in programming, development, special events, program management, marketing and communications. Before joining the Paramount, Gretchen contributed her talents to esteemed organizations such as The Children’s Theatre Company (Minneapolis), The Dale Warland Singers (St. Paul, MN), the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the National Lutheran Choir (Minneapolis). She holds a BS in Music from UW-River Falls and a MA in Arts Administration from St. Mary’s University of MN. Gretchen actively serves on the Board of Directors for the MN Presenters Network, the Central MN Arts Board, and the St. Cloud Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board.

The Board of Directors expresses gratitude for the invaluable mentorship and guidance provided by the current Executive Director, Bob Johnson, during this transitional period.
