Hidden in Plain Sight: Stories Among Us  – A monthly series of storytelling conversations that will take place in our Granite Lobby.

BEYOND THE UNIFORM
Join us for an intimate, powerful storytelling experience for young veterans ages 18–42—a space to share where they’ve been, where they are now, and how their journeys continue to shape the communities around them.

This conversation features panelists Mustafa, Brianna Dixon, and Chandler Vondam, three veterans whose stories reflect the depth of service and the complexity of life after uniform. Together, they’ll speak to the sacrifices made for self, the sacrifices made for family, and the ongoing work of tending to mental health as they navigate new chapters of identity, purpose, and healing.

As a special highlight, Joe Salzar will showcase his handcrafted diamond willow canes — symbols of resilience, artistry, and legacy. One cane will be gifted to a veteran in attendance, honoring their journey and the strength they carry.

This gathering is more than storytelling. It’s a connection. It’s reflection. It’s a community. And it’s a reminder that every veteran’s voice adds something vital to the narrative of who we are and who we’re becoming.
