Come see the silent film that opened the Paramount Theatre (then the Sherman) in 1921! Central Minnesotans gathered in the hundreds to be the first to experience St. Cloud’s grand new theatre on Christmas Eve, 1921. At that time, patrons would have paid $.50 to see the film (about $7.50 today). We’ll bring down the big screen for the viewing, have music like you would have heard back then, and of course popcorn, soda and other snacks will be for sale in the lobby.
Plot: A naive country girl is tricked into a sham marriage by a wealthy womanizer, then must rebuild her life despite the taint of having borne a child out of wedlock.
