In 1965, Rob Grill and three others teamed up with hit producer Steve Barri (The Mamas & The Papas, Tommy Roe, Four Tops, Dusty Springfield) to form The Grass Roots, who went on to chart 29 singles—13 gold—along with two gold albums and one platinum album. Ranking among only nine bands in rock history, including The Beatles, with more Billboard Hot 100 hits, The Grass Roots have remained a staple on Classic Rock radio for nearly 50 years. Top 40 hits include: Lets Live for Today, Midnight Confessions, Sooner or Later, & Temptation Eyes.
