Funded by the United Way’s Cultural Heritage grant, the Road to Unity is a day-long festival-style event, featuring Black, Minnesota-based artists. The day will feature an author & illustrator fireside chat, book signing, one person performance of “The Meeting” – an imagined conversation between MLK and Malcolm X, documentary film screening, a community art project, double-dutch demonstration, and a hip-hop performance. All events will take place on the Paramount’s main level, including the stage. We will also be giving away free copies of the book!
