Kick off the 2025-26 season with Mixtape Magic, our high-energy fundraiser event featuring three beloved 80’s bands: A Flock of Seagulls, Tommy Tutone and Naked Eyes! Dance the night away to unforgettable hits like “I Ran (So Far Away)”, “867-5309/Jenny”, and “Always Something There to Remind Me”. Don’t miss this totally rad celebration that sets the stage for an exciting new season!

Make plans to be a part of the Paramount’s 2025-26 Season Kick-Off! Three of the biggest artists of the ‘80s will perform on our historic stage, and you won’t want to miss it! 
The Season Kick-Off is a special evening created to celebrate all the things that make the Paramount a community treasure: our 104-year-old theatre, visual arts studios (including ceramics, weaving, woodturning, glass, drawing, painting and more), three exhibition spaces, community engagement programs, and Gift Gallery, featuring the work of over 80 local artists.
The party starts outside in the tent with music & street performances by the Twin Cities Skaters, delightful food and drinks, and time to connect and socialize with friends. Then, at 7:30pm, claim your seat in the theatre for the concert of the year!

 About the Bands:

A Flock of Seagulls: A Flock of Seagulls may well be known for their bizarrely teased haircuts as much as their hit single ‘I Ran’. A Flock of Seagulls were one of prime movers in the 80’s new wave era, growing out of the synth-heavy and ruthlessly stylish new romantic movement. Hairdresser Mike Score (lead vocals, keyboards) formed A Flock of Seagulls with his brother Ali (drums) and fellow hairdresser Frank Maudsley (bass) in 1980, adding guitarist Paul Reynolds several months later. https://www.aflockofseagulls.org 

Naked Eyes: Naked Eyes is the British synth-pop duo best known for their early 1980s hits. Formed by Pete Byrne and Rob Fisher, the band gained international recognition with their 1983 cover of Burt Bacharach’s “(There’s) Always Something There to Remind Me” and their original hit “Promises, Promises.” With a sound defined by lush synthesizers and catchy melodies, Naked Eyes became a staple of the MTV era. https://www.nakedeyesmusic.com

Tommy Tutone: Tommy Tutone is an American power pop band, known for its 1981 song “867-5309/Jenny”, which peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band’s lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and occasional keyboardist is Tommy Heath.
