Introduction to Drawing

Experience Level: Beginner, no prior experience needed
Wednesdays February 23-March 2, 6-8:30pm (2 sessions)
Ages 14+

Explore foundational drawing skills to help you draw what you see. This class is geared to the entry level student (or as a refresher!)  and will focus on topics including lines, basic forms, simple perspective, contour, light and shadow.  In class with experiences will give you the tools you need to create a good drawing with a basic understanding of proportion, form and space!

1 pad of drawing/ sketching paper (minimum size of 11″ x 17″)
1 pad of newsprint
Drawing pencils with a range of hardness (2H & 4B or 6B at minimum)
Kneaded eraser
White plastic eraser
Compressed Charcoal- Stick or Pencil (purchase at least 3 charcoal pencils of varying hardness, your choice)
Tortillons/Blending Stick

Conte Crayons
Vine Charcoal
