Join us for a full day of incredible art with art historian Lynn Metcalf!
Our day begins with a visit to the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), where you can choose your own adventure with an a la carte exploration of your favorite pieces! Choose the specialty shows or works in the permanent collections!

We invite you to stop in to the Agra Culture Coffee Shop and Cafe to grab some lunch and enjoy some time browsing the gift shop!
Following lunch, art historian Lynn Metcalf will guide us through works of Mia’s permanent collection, including Cézanne, Gauguin, Picasso, Van Gogh and other early 20th century modern artists, as explored in the Art Appreciation Class (held at the Paramount April 28 & May 7- attendance in this class is not required to participate in the bus trip)
The adventure continues as we head to the Walker Art Center to see highlights of the Walker’s extensive permanent collection in an exhibition entitled This Must Be the Place. This thought-provoking gathering of works includes some of your favorites including Edward Hopper’s The Night Office and Franz Marc’s Large Blue Horses!
Time and weather permitting, we also invite you to explore the beautiful outdoor Sculpture Gardens!

*Please note that tuition includes round trip transportation to the Twin Cities and back, the general admission fee into the Walker. Lunch and additional purchases are at the discretion of the attendee.
